Hometown Hero Returns! Clemmye Owens V is BACK!

That's right, Toledo's own basketball superstar is returning to lead the Wranglers in the 2024/2025 BSL season. With his lightning-fast moves, sharpshooting accuracy, and undeniable leadership, Clemmye is ready to bring the heat and take the Wranglers to new heights.

"Having Clemmye back on the team is a huge win for the Wranglers," says Wranglers TMO Joshua Radtkin. "He's a phenomenal player and an even better person. He embodies the spirit of Toledo, and his dedication to the game and the community is an inspiration to us all."

Clemmye is just as excited to be back. "Playing in my hometown is an honor," says Owens. "I'm ready to give everything I've got for the Wranglers and the incredible fans of Glass City. We're going to make this a season to remember!"

This 6'0" combo guard brings a wealth of experience to the Wranglers. He started his college career at Bethune-Cookman University, where he averaged a career-high 15.3 points per game. He then transferred to Chicago State University, continuing to shine in NCAA Division 1. His college career was filled with impressive performances, including a game where he dropped 29 points, grabbed 8 rebounds, and snatched 7 steals!

Clemmye then took his talents to the professional level, playing in Mexico and dominating the Premier Basketball League (PBL). He was named PBL Player of the Year in 2021 and earned a spot on the PBL 1st Team. He even scored an incredible 35 points in a single PBL game!

Since 2021, Clemmye has been a key player for the Glass City Wranglers. He's averaged 16.7 points per game, dished out 3.6 assists, and grabbed 2.5 rebounds, all while shooting an impressive 80% from the free-throw line. His Wranglers highlights include a game where he scored 29 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, dished out 10 assists, and hit 5 three-pointers!
