Wranglers Battle Hard in Newfoundland, But Fall to the Rogues

Wranglers Nation, we gave it our all in Newfoundland, but those pesky Rogues proved to be a tough opponent this time around! We battled hard in back-to-back games on December 6th and 7th, but ultimately fell short in both matchups.

Game 1: A High-Scoring Affair, But the Rogues Take the Win

On December 6th, we hit the court at Mary Brown's Centre ready to bring the thunder. The Rogues came out firing, and despite a valiant effort, we couldn't keep pace with their offensive onslaught. The final score was 128-93 in favor of the Rogues.

Cameron Wilbon led the charge with 25 points, showcasing his scoring prowess with an impressive 9-for-21 performance from the field. Devonte Pratt was a force in the paint, adding 22 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Clemmye Owens orchestrated the offense with 4 assists and also contributed 7 points.

Despite our efforts, the Rogues' balanced attack and hot shooting proved too much to overcome. We learned some valuable lessons from this game and were determined to come back stronger the next day.

Game 2: A Nail-Biter, But the Rogues Edge Us Out

December 7th saw a much closer contest. We came out with renewed energy and focus, determined to even the score. The game went down to the wire, but ultimately, the Rogues escaped with a 97-92 victory.

Kyle Meyer led the scoring with 21 points, shooting an efficient 8-for-13 from the field. Cameron Wilbon continued his strong performance with 20 points, while John Washington added 12 points and 2 steals. Clemmye Owens and Devonte Pratt once again facilitated the offense, combining for 9 assists.

Despite the loss, we showed resilience and determination, battling until the final buzzer. We proved that we can compete with the best in the BSL, even on the road.
